I'm at the beginning of a weight loss endevor. I weigh 380 pounds and I'm trying to lose about 200.

I'm using a program of my own creation; it's moderately low-carb. I eat veggies to my heart's content and two servings of fruit a day, as well as plenty of protein. I limit grains, and restrict my intake of them to no more than one or two servings of whole grains per day. I'm not afraid to eat a moderate amount of fat in the form of olive or canola oil or fish like salmon. I do avoid partially hydrogenated fat and high fructose corn syrup as much as humanly possible and try to concentrate on eating whole, healthy foods.

I also exercise almost every day. Tapes and walking right now, with something thrown in to spice it up coming soon, hopefully.

I'm body positive. I strive to lose weight to improve my health and my appearance, loving the current state my body's in all the while. Sound contradictory? Oh well.
